The number of people planning a vacation around a surgical procedure is increasing. This allows them to go under the knife and heal in some pretty beautiful surroundings. There are a number of specialized resorts popping up to fill the demand of jet-setting clients who want to have a luxurious and exciting location for their cosmetic surgery. The reason that I would chose to go abroad for plastic surgery or any other surgery could be for reasons other than that. I know myself well enough to know that if I had surgery I wouldn't want to be out and about, I would be in bed and trying to quickly recover. The other reason that I would go abroad would have something to do with the cost and the waiting times. In Canada you can wait for a year or more to have your knees replaced. You could also have to wait for a heart bypass. If you go abroad you not only could get it done almost immediately, it wouldn't cost you all that much. Cosmetic surgery abroad is cheaper than both Canada and the US.
